Information Technology Infrastructure Engineer

Enso Recruitment is thrilled to present a stellar opportunity for an IT Technical Engineer on behalf of our client in the FMCG space. This role offers the chance to join a dynamic team, providing critical support and monitoring for computer systems and networks in a flourishing organization.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement new IT systems to enhance business operations.
Provide expert support and conduct diagnostics on Windows Server OS features including Group Policy, DNS, and Active Directory.
Manage and support a VMWare vSphere environment.
Deploy operating systems utilizing automated technologies like MDT & WDS.
Oversee and ensure the effectiveness of backup systems with Veeam, including performing regular backup tests.
Offer advanced support for Windows Desktop OS, which includes system patching, application installations, and troubleshooting.
Handle the configuration and management of IP networks, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Contribute to project work, actively participating in the planning and execution of IT projects.
Administer Cisco Webex and manage collaboration endpoint hardware.
Support Microsoft Teams and manage Citrix XenApp for deployment and ongoing maintenance.
Regularly update and maintain system and user documentation.
Test and evaluate emerging technologies to stay ahead of industry trends.
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support outside of regular business hours.

Skills & Experience Required:

A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of technical experience in IT.
Proficiency in managing Active Directory and Group Policy.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and VMware vSphere.
Experience with backup and replication technologies using Veeam.
Effective management skills in Citrix XenApp and Microsoft Teams.
Strong interpersonal and excellent team collaboration skills.

Desirable:

Experience with Cisco switching, IT security including A/V and firewalls.
Familiarity with networks and WANs, Cisco IP telephony, and Microsoft SQL.
Basic understanding of Operational Technology (e.g., factory control systems).
