My client are a precision manufacturing business, based in Birmingham, specialising in machining and assembly of high value low volume components.
As the IT Manager, you’ll have a high degree of autonomy to ensure industry-leading IT support for the business. Leading an internal IT team of six, the IT manager will be responsible for support and development of the local ERP system (EFACS) while also ensuring a high degree of security across the IT infrastructure (server, network, PCs). This is a hands-on role, touching all aspects of IT, in a growing business.
IT Manager Job Description Full responsibility of EFACS ERP system, including day-to-day support and on-going development. Management of IT infrastructure ensuring high degree of both standardisation and security. Validate and prioritise IT development requests against the existing project pipeline, based on value-add and criticality. Day to day engagement with key business stakeholders, understanding requirements and managing expectations. Management, mentoring and development of internal IT team, ensuring succession planning is in place. Manage change requests for ERP and application enhancements in line with group IT strategy and business requirements. Liaise and manage the on-going performance of vendors to deliver to expected service standards. Prepare annual IT operation and capital budgets. Provide clear, concise, and timely communication to stakeholders during the investigation and resolution of any individual or system issues. Assessment of existing technologies and define roadmaps to align with group strategy. Play a critical role in implementing our IT and Data Security Strategy, driving efficiency through technology across the business. Drive best practice, providing leadership and guidance both within IT and the business.
IT Manager Essential Qualifications / Experience / Skills Prior experience managing an EFACS ERP in a manufacturing environment is a must Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development Prior experience handling senior stakeholders, and the ability to create a win-win with competing demands on IT Responsibilities will include leading the certification of the Cyber Essentials Plus Accreditation and ensuring ongoing compliance
