Information Technology Operations Manager

We are currently working with a long-established organisation that is recruiting for a hands-on IT Operations Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

This is a varied role, working across numerous areas within IT including infrastructure, networking and security, whilst also taking on responsibilities at a strategic level.

This is a hybrid role with four days per week on-site.

The successful candidate for the IT Operations Manager will have the following responsibilities:

Building a robust IT strategy, ensuring it is well-aligned with the overall strategy of the organisation itself
Writingpolicies and procedures around IT compliance, ensuring this is met across the organisation
Overall responsibility for Cyber Security, ensuring all systems and data are well protected
Overseeing all risk and compliance, ensuring the organisation stays in line with its risk management policies
Responsible for all IT infrastructure, networking and cloud services
Managing all IT projects within the organisation
Managing the daily activities of an IT Support Analyst, providing guidance and an escalation point

The ideal candidate for the IT Operations Manager will have the following skills and experience:

Extensive experience in hands-on IT Operations Management/IT Management roles
Strong knowledge and experience across IT infrastructure technologies, including but not limited to Windows Server, Office 365, Azure, Active Directory as well as Networking
Experience in Cyber Security as well as Compliance
The ability to effectively manage IT projects
Strong communication skills and able to build relationships across all levels of the organisation
A proven track record of driving IT strategy
Excellent budgetary experience
