Job DescriptionJob Title: IT & Systems EngineerLocation: Chelmsford, Essex (with 1 day work from home)Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOEOur client who is in the construction sector are seeking a dedicated IT & Systems Engineer to join their small but impactful IT team. As the IT & Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our growing infrastructure and advancing their IT systems. This role offers a balance of user support and project-focused responsibilities, ensuring that their technology systems are efficient, secure, and future-ready. You will be working within a small IT team that receives additional support from an external Managed Service Provider (MSP).Key responsibilities:IT Projects: Lead and participate in various IT projects, including system upgrades, network enhancements, and infrastructure development.Systems Advancements: Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve operational efficiency and security.User Support: Provide a mixed line of support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.Site Visits: Travel to their different office locations as required to support onsite IT needs and ensure seamless technology integration.Collaboration: Work closely with the MSP and other internal teams to ensure consistent and reliable IT service delivery.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and procedures.What they're looking for:Proven experience supporting internal users and system engineeringExperience with Dynamics 365Strong knowledge of networking, server management, and infrastructure developmentProficiency in troubleshooting and supporting Windows-based environmentsExperience with virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and ISO27001Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independentlyStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneouslyA valid driver's license and willingness to travel to different office locations as neededWhat they offer:Competitive salary ranging from £35,000 to £45,000 based on experienceFlexibility to work from home one day per weekStrong opportunities for professional development and career growthA collaborative and supportive work environmentWe look forward to your application.
