We are working with the client at the heart of Britain's high-speed rail programme and are recruiting a Contracts Manager to manage a portfolio of corporate contracts across a complex, high-value delivery environment.
Minimum expectations
Experience managing a portfolio of corporate contracts end to end Experience monitoring supplier performance and compliance Ability to manage change requests through a governance structure Understanding of contract risk and different forms of contract Stakeholder and supplier management Experience working with or for a publicly funded body Proficiency in Excel, SAP, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Project and CEMAR This is a hands-on contract management role. You will own a portfolio of contracts end to end — monitoring supplier performance, managing change requests through governance processes, administering service credits, conducting compliance checks and producing contract management plans. You will liaise with stakeholders on spend, progress and performance reporting, manage formal disputes where they arise, and keep a close eye on the financial standing of your suppliers throughout.
The right candidate will have solid experience managing corporate contracts within a publicly funded or regulated environment, and will be comfortable administering NEC forms of contract through the full contract management cycle.
Your experience could come from anywhere across the infrastructure spectrum — civils, tunnels, viaducts or earthworks; track or overhead line equipment; signalling, train control or telecoms; rolling stock or depots; stations or mechanical and electrical systems. What matters is that you understand how to manage complex contracts, hold suppliers to account, and navigate change in a governed environment.
You will be confident leading stakeholders through change processes and familiar with tools including SAP and CEMAR alongside the usual Office suite.
More experienced? We also have Senior Contracts Manager opportunities for those who have led teams, provided commercial assurance at a governance level, and have a track record of coaching and developing others in a contract management function Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
