About the Role:

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a critical role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of core infrastructure systems - including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services. This is a varied, fast-paced role where you'll get stuck into both project work and BAU support, ensuring systems remain secure, scalable, and future-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure (Azure/AWS).
• Administer and improve core services including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Take the lead in infrastructure projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and cloud adoption.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and security of systems and services.
• Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure infrastructure aligns with business needs.
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues.

What You'll Bring:

• Proven experience in an infrastructure or systems engineering role.
• Strong working knowledge of:
• Microsoft Server technologies (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022)
• Virtualisation platforms (Hyper-V, VMware)
• Cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• Networking fundamentals (firewalls, switches, VPNs)
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, or similar) is highly desirable.
• A proactive approach with excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Certifications like Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), Azure Administrator, or VMware VCP are a plus.
