Infrastructure Engineer

Our client, a respected financial services organisation undergoing rapid technological growth, is looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead IT troubleshooting and optimisation efforts across its hybrid IT environment. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in both technical and customer-facing situations, with a strong emphasis on system performance, onboarding, and enterprise-level support.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced IT support across infrastructure, applications, and endpoint environments, reducing downtime and boosting performance.
• Manage and optimise systems including Windows Server, Azure, and Microsoft 365 to meet security and reliability standards.
• Lead IT onboarding processes and documentation to streamline new-user experiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using tools like Intune, Jamf, SCCM, Atlassian, and Zendesk.
• Resolve complex user issues with clarity and professionalism in a hybrid technical/user-facing role.
• Drive continual improvement of IT operations with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in high-level IT support, ideally within financial services or enterprise environments.
• Technical expertise across Windows Server, Azure, Microsoft 365, PowerShell, and endpoint management tools.
• Track record of optimising infrastructure and user support systems to enhance performance and availability.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach, especially in documentation and onboarding.
• Comfortable in both behind-the-scenes technical work and direct user engagement.
• Experience supporting hybrid working setups and security-focused IT operations
