PERMANENT ROLE AVAILABLE IN A HIGHLY SECURE ENVIRONMENT FOR AN INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER

• Permanent position for an Infrastructure Engineer
• Opportunity to work on sensitive, mission-critical systems - DV clearance required
• £40,000 to £55,000 salary
• Based in Aldershot with regular on-site presence (~3 days per week)

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're hiring a DV Cleared Infrastructure Engineer to support a secure customer environment. This is a hands-on role within a high-assurance setting, working directly with end users and internal teams to maintain and improve operational infrastructure.

You'll be joining a collaborative, multidisciplinary team where problem-solving, resilience, and adaptability are key. This position is ideal for someone with a solid technical foundation who's eager to work on complex challenges that truly make a difference.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Supporting and evolving secure infrastructure platforms in line with user needs
• Building, configuring and maintaining environments using automation tools where possible
• Troubleshooting system and network issues, identifying root causes, and implementing robust fixes
• Collaborating with colleagues across multiple functions to deliver timely technical solutions
• Working iteratively to improve performance, availability, and reliability

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Active DV clearance (Developed Vetting) is essential
• Proficient in Linux systems administration (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu)
• Experience with virtualisation platforms, ideally VMware vSphere
• Exposure to infrastructure monitoring and vulnerability management tools (e.g., Zabbix, Tenable)
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash or Python
• Knowledge of automation and IaC tools like Ansible or Terraform is beneficial
• A team player who is confident working independently in secure environments
