Infrastructure Engineer (Linux)

Arcas Technology is partnered with a global financial trading firm that specializes in derivatives contracts, including Futures and Options.

The role will focus on designing, deploying, and supporting Linux-based infrastructure across global trading operations, while also providing 2nd line support for a 24/5 trading system. You will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing core infrastructure services in a highly technical, performance-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deploying, configuring, and managing Linux-based systems and services.
• Maintaining and enhancing custom systemd services and OS-level configurations.
• Supporting and managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
• Managing GitLab infrastructure to support CI/CD workflows.
• Operating and maintaining Kafka clusters for high-throughput messaging.
• Troubleshooting production issues across systems, networks, containers, and applications.
• Monitoring infrastructure using Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, and Elasticsearch.
• Automating processes with Ansible.
• Participating in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/5 coverage.

Key Skills

• Proven Linux administration experience (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky) including deployment, patching, and kernel tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Strong understanding of GitLab for source control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience managing Kafka clusters in real-time environments.
• Expertise with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, and Elasticsearch.
• Proficiency in Ansible for configuration management.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills across infrastructure layers.
