Infrastructure Engineer - Meraki

This role requires an experienced Infrastructure SME to design, implement, and manage our global IT infrastructure. The role includes overseeing Cisco Meraki network architecture, providing BAU support, and managing cloud services, IAM, device management, security compliance, and office IT.

Description

This role will focus on Cloud, Infrastructure & Security, Security & Compliance as well as providing BAU Support to 200 users across the business.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Network Architecture & Management (Cisco Meraki)
• Lead network design and management across schools using Cisco Meraki.
• Optimize Meraki wireless, switching, and security appliances.
• Manage VLANs, segmentation, and network performance.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on connectivity and ISP engagement.

Infrastructure, Cloud & Security

• Administer Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace tenants (user provisioning, MFA, licensing, Conditional Access).
• Manage Azure cloud services, focusing on performance, identity, and cost control.
• Oversee IAM, including Azure AD, SSO, and policy enforcement.
• Maintain SSL certificates across infrastructure.
• Manage MDM platforms (Intune, Jamf) across the organisation.
• Implement and maintain IT security policies aligned with global standards.
• Coordinate external security assessments, audits, and penetration testing.
• Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.

Security Strategy & Compliance

• Regularly audit system configurations and permissions.
• Lead endpoint protection, external threat prevention, and vulnerability management.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection, and regulatory requirements.

BAU Support

• Provide IT support at the London head office.
• Oversee device setup, deployment, and inventory.
• Support AV systems and conferencing tools.

Profile

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Cisco Meraki networking, IT security, and infrastructure management. They will be well-versed in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Azure, SSL, MDM solutions, and security frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years in infrastructure and security roles.
• Proven experience with Cisco Meraki networking.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace administration.
• Hands-on Azure experience.
• Deep understanding of IAM, MFA, Conditional Access, and SSO.
• Proficiency with MDM tools such as Intune and Jamf.
• Solid knowledge of security standards and compliance practices.
• Experience coordinating audits and penetration testing.
• Scripting/automation skills (e.g., PowerShell).
• Strong troubleshooting and project management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in multi-site or educational environments.

Job Offer
