Infrastructure Specialist

We are looking for an Infrastructure Specialist to take ownership of designing and improving the core platforms that support and secure a high-performance technology environment. This role leans heavily on deep technical expertise, with close collaboration across engineering, security and operations to deliver reliable, scalable systems.

You will operate in a greenfield setting where you can shape how infrastructure is built from the ground up, with a clear impact on performance, stability and long-term architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and optimisation of infrastructure across compute, storage, networking and cloud platforms
• Take ownership of a specialist area within the environment, driving configuration standards, deployments and advanced troubleshooting
• Identify performance bottlenecks and reliability issues, and run focused improvements to remediate them
• Turn technical findings into robust, production-ready enhancements that improve system behaviour
• Support and influence architectural direction through hands-on technical input and domain expertise

Requirements

• 4+ years' experience working in infrastructure or systems engineering within complex environments
• Demonstrated depth in a core area such as Linux, networking, storage, or cloud, with less focus on being a broad generalist
• Strong understanding of operating systems, system internals and network fundamentals
• Comfortable working through ambiguous problems and debugging unfamiliar systems
• Track record of improving performance, scalability or resilience in live environments
• Ownership-driven approach with clear, logical thinking and attention to detail
• Degree-level education preferred
