Infrastructure QA Lead (SC Cleared or Clearable)

Overview:

The Infrastructure QA lead (SC Cleared or Clearable) will be joining a leading organisation to drive efforts to produce QA and test deliverables, validate data centre infrastructure designs, encompassing network design, performance and implementation.

Experience:

• In depth knowledge of networking protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs).
• Familiarity with network hardware (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls).
• Experience with network simulation tools and monitoring platforms (e.g. SIPp, iPerf, JMeter, Solarwinds).
• Knowledge of VMWare platform management and monitoring.
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to interpret packet captures, network logs and performance testing results effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Able to manage a team of non-functional QA engineers through technical issues.

Responsibilities:

• Support the development and maintenance of test documentation (test plans and test specifications/scripts) with the team.
• Validate infrastructure designs, network configurations, protocols and interoperability.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and designs, supporting the team in the translation into test scenarios and scripts.
• Work with customers to understand network design and performance considerations.
• Identify design issues and raise queries to support accurate test development.
• Identify opportunities for automation of test activities where possible
• Support the test execution process for each test phase.
• Be an escalation point for matters relating to infrastructure, network and performance QA activities.
• Provide technical expertise in network and performance QA testing, automation, processes and tools & techniques across our teams and our clients.
