We are currently partnering with an outstanding secondary school in Croydon, South London, that is seeking a passionate and experienced Music Teacher to join their dedicated team starting this September. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a competitive salary aligned with the MPS/UPS scale (M1 to UPS3).

The Role:

This is a unique opportunity to inspire and nurture a love for music in students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5. The successful candidate will have the chance to shape a dynamic and engaging music curriculum, fostering creativity and musical expression in a vibrant learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver inspiring music lessons across KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5


• Develop and implement innovative lesson plans in line with the school's curriculum objectives

• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall effectiveness of the music department


• Remain informed of the latest pedagogical approaches and advancements in music education

Qualifications and Experience:

• A relevant degree in Music or a related discipline


• PGCE or QTS qualification


• Demonstrated experience teaching music to secondary school students
