About the Role

Our client is a global financial services / trading business looking for a Junior Institutional Relationship Manager to support the onboarding and ongoing management of institutional clients. This is a genuine development opportunity — prior industry experience is not essential, as full training will be provided. The focus is on finding a strong relationship manager who can build trusted client relationships and grow into the institutional business over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Support onboarding of new institutional clients, ensuring account opening and onboarding tasks run smoothly


• Act as day-to-day point of contact for clients, responding to queries and coordinating internally


• Assist with client implementations — account setup, platform access and connectivity


• Build strong, trusted working relationships with institutional clients


• Maintain accurate onboarding documentation and CRM records


• Coordinate across Sales, Trading, Operations, Compliance and Technology teams


• Monitor client activity and flag issues or opportunities to senior team members


• Prepare client presentations, reports and onboarding materials


• Build knowledge of institutional FX/CFD markets, trading platforms and liquidity offerings via on-the-job training


• Stay current with market developments and industry trends

Skills & Experience Sought

• 1–2 years' experience in a B2B client-facing role — e.g. Customer Success, Account Management, Client Services, or similar within Enterprise SaaS, Payments, Banking, FinTech, Technology or Professional/Corporate Services (financial services background not required)


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with genuine interest in building client relationships


• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks


• Proactive attitude with willingness to learn and develop within institutional financial markets


• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams


• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM systems


• University degree or equivalent, ideally in Business, Finance, Economics or a related discipline


• Professional, polished communicator — relationship-focused, proactive and collaborative (low ego)


• Comfortable communicating via email, Slack/chat tools, client meetings and industry events

Desirable

• Interest in financial markets, institutional trading or fintech


• Exposure to building professional relationships with high-net-worth clients 


• Additional language skills are beneficial but not essential
