Are you a talented Instructional Designer passionate about creating impactful digital learning experiences? We’re seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join a leading UK-based eLearning provider. This is a hybrid role based in Leeds, offering up to £40,000.

As an Instructional Designer, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality eLearning content. Working across a broad portfolio - including compliance training and custom digital solutions - you’ll ensure all content is pedagogically sound, accessible, and engaging for learners across diverse sectors. You’ll collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), project managers, and multimedia teams to turn complex topics into effective, interactive digital learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design learner-centred digital learning modules using proven instructional design principles.

  • Translate complex subject matter into accessible, engaging eLearning content.

  • Define clear learning outcomes aligned with compliance or client goals.

  • Collaborate closely with SMEs and internal teams throughout the content development process.

  • Apply accessibility and inclusion standards (e.g., WCAG) across all content.

  • Use learning design frameworks to ensure consistency, clarity, and engagement.

  • Manage multiple projects to tight deadlines using tools like Trello or Jira.

  • Contribute to innovation in learning strategy, formats, and delivery methods.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience as an Instructional Designer or Learning Designer in digital learning.

  • Strong understanding of instructional design theory, adult learning principles, and eLearning tools.

  • Confident working with SMEs to scope, structure and review content.

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive content practices.

  • Excellent project management and communication skills.

  • A collaborative, proactive mindset with attention to pedagogical rigour.

  • Passionate about improving learning outcomes through high-quality content design.

Why Apply?
  • Salary up to £40,000, depending on experience.

  • Hybrid working - just 1 day per week required in the Leeds office.

  • Join a collaborative, learner-focused digital education provider.

  • Work on projects that make a meaningful difference to learners across sectors.

  • Be part of a team that values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.

If you're an experienced Instructional Designer looking to take your skills to the next level, we’d love to hear from you.
