Instrument and Control Technical Authority

Wood is currently recruiting for an Instrument and Control Technical Authority (TA) within the Operated Asset Service Line. Please note this is not a live position.

The Instrument and Control TA will support preparatory services and pre-operations readiness for a greenfield field development with first gas targeted early 2023.

The Instrument and Control TA will be accountable for reviewing and endorsing the technical content of operations readiness & Assurance deliverables, including performance standards for safety and environmental critical elements. They will also be responsible for providing assurance related to any operations deviations and technical queries and management of risks associated with major hazards and non-standard operations. 

Relevant Experience:

• Chartered Engineer (Preferred) 
• Degree Qualified
• Experience in the hydrocarbon or offshore oil & gas industry
• Conversant with the definition of Technical Integrity and methods to be employed in the assurance of Technical Integrity 
• Conversant with and knowledgeable of current and new legislation and standards relevant to the discipline within their operating region 
• Conversant with and knowledgeable of current standards and procedures relevant to the discipline 
• Confident in own abilities, aware of when to seek specialist help from subject matter
• Skilled in fault finding and Root Cause analysis
