Insurance Advisor - Personal Lines

This is a hybrid role, with the option of working from home 1 day a week.

Our well established client is looking for an Insurance Account Handler to join their friendly team. You will be providing an outstanding service to clients, offering guidance, support and assistance to them.

The successful candidate will be responsible for looking after and developing a portfolio of clients and will be responsible for dealing with business enquiries, renewals and adjustments.

Ideally you will have previous experience within insurance, however a trainee who is keen to develop an insurance career may also be considered.

Responsibilities are varied and will include the following:

• Ensuring that customer service levels are implemented and maintained to a high level
• To deal effectively with customer queries and any complaints, ensuring that customers are satisfied with the level of service received.
• Ensuring that all clients are appropriately informed of all matters relating to their insurance in a timely manner and in accordance with FCA guidelines, accurately presenting recommendations and options to clients.
• Building and maintaining long term relationships with clients, ensuring high renewal rates.
• Ensuring all client documentation is up to date, accurate, timely, and FCA-compliant.
• Ensuring that all renewals are actioned within FCA guidelines.
• Maintaining a sound knowledge of clients industries, businesses and risks.

Key Skills

• Previous experience of working within the insurance industry is an advantage.
• A confident communicator with strong customer service skills
• A good understanding of FCA regulations would be an advantage.
• Organised and proactive, with strong attention to detail.
• Working towards or already holding a Certificate in Insurance (CII) is desirable.
