Your new job as an Insurance & Risk Manager, will be working for one of London's most prominent and leading Property management and investment companies, who have a 300 year family history, based in Central London working within their luxurious offices. They are seeking to recruit an Insurance & Risk Manager with Real Estate experience to work within their Insurance team.

Your new role

Your new job working as an Insurance & Risk Manager means you will be responsible for the determination of the level of insurance protection required to safeguard the business against potential risks taking into account availability of cover and the level of cover obtained by peer group. You will be responsible for the management of both Broker and Insurer relations at a high level as well as the effective placement of the insurance portfolio. You will work with insurance providers in arranging the cover as well handle the claims management, settlement, and negotiation providing an exemplary level of service to all internal and external customers.

Your job will also include managing the level of risk to insured events, minimising the loss ratio. Your duties will also include ensuring all insurance requirements are identified, considered, and that cover is arranged as required in respect of Residential and Commercial Property, property, rent, property owners' liability, engineering and contract works insurances. You will be responsible for negotiating the best cover for customers as well as oversee the all claims handling for both parties. Working closely with Insurers, Managing Agents and Property Managers daily acting as an ambassador in all communications. Your main purpose will be to ensure the provision of and on-going management of appropriate, cost effective insurance cover to protect the business against potential risks. This role also includes overseeing one member of staff (the Assistant Insurance Manger).

What you'll need to succeed

Your previous experience working either as an Insurance Manager with an understanding of Real Estate business or within a Brokers handing Real Estate business will contribute to your success. You will have excellent facilitation, communication, presentation, and organisational skills with the ability to work as a member of a team and collaboratively with people of all levels. You will also have the capability to respond appropriately to people who may have experienced showing empathy with clients who have had any trauma of an insured event whilst protecting the interests of the company. You will also have a high level of experience in showing integrity and initiative in your day to day work.

What you'll get in return

You'll be offered a competitive salary up to c £75,000 for 3 days a week and a comprehensive benefits package. This role will be office based 3 days a week in their office based in Central London.
