Job Description - Insurance Claims Handler

Job Description

Due to continued growth, Smart Solutions is actively recruiting for a Claims Handler to join our globally renowned client based in South Wales.

To be considered for this role you’ll need at least 3-years’ experience within a similar role, specifically Employers and Public Liability Insurance claims (Personal Injury will be considered). Prior experience is essential as you’ll be managing your own designated case-load, ensuring claims are processed and settled within the company’s guideline.

Key Responsibilities of the

Claims Handler :
Maintaining accurate file by file & pay-peril reserves to meet the Company’s liabilities.
Ensuring all claims allocated are controlled within company

philosophies/procedures

and KPI’s to achieve investigation, negotiation and equitable settlement in accordance with levels of

expertise/authority/responsibility

of team staff.
Providing support to senior management with day-to-day staff development to aid and supplement efficient progress to resolution of claims.
Ensuring customers are treated fairly at all times.
Authorising claims payments in accordance with departmental limit.
Acting as liaison/referral contact for queries, providing claims support and expertise.
Monitoring and reporting on services/costs of external providers, so as to achieve best performance/value for the company.
Attending and/or chairing meetings at office locations and at broker or client premises.

Experience within a similar role is essential, specifically within Employers and Public Liability.
You’ll be highly motivated with excellent interpersonal skills

You’ll be a strong communicator with excellent relationship building skills
