I am currently working with a leading international business to support their search for a Senior Insurance Risk Manager within their Insurance Risk Management division, based in London. This is a newly created, permanent and full-time position, offering an outstanding opportunity for a strategic leader to shape the direction and future of an amazing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing a team of insurance risk professionals, setting the department's overall strategy, and ensuring the successful delivery of risk management solutions across a wide range of insurance lines. Core responsibilities include managing complex insurance placements from inception to renewal, overseeing claims handling and negotiation, and continuously enhancing risk management frameworks and processes. You will also be expected to monitor market developments, assess emerging risks, and ensure the organisation remains at the forefront of best practice in insurance risk management.

The role involves close collaboration with a broad range of internal stakeholders, supporting cross-functional projects and contributing to the achievement of wider business objectives. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with external partners, including insurance companies and brokers across Europe. Regular engagement with senior leadership will be required, providing expert advice and presenting on risk management strategies and outcomes.

Additionally, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, supporting the development of risk management policies, and driving innovation in risk mitigation techniques. The position offers hybrid working arrangements and will require occasional travel within Europe, as well as occasional international travel for conferences and stakeholder meetings.
