Your new company

Your new role will be working for a Lloyd's Broker that has access to syndicates, London Market and international insurers who provide specialised products. They have close relationships with key underwriters and are based in the City of London. You will be working with brokers, MGAs and insurers throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide. Due to expansion in their Technical team, a permanent position for an Insurance Technician has arisen. This role is 3 days in the office.

Your new role

Your new role working as an Insurance Technician means you will be required to do a pure back-end processing role which involves processing debit notes and Closings. Duties will include managing claims so they comply with standardised processes, contributing to the continuous improvement of the overall claims processing function, and supporting the claims team to identify and implement business performance improvement. You will also assist in claims management and ensure staff in the business unit have the knowledge and skills necessary. Further duties will also include Premium processing and L-pan production, full understanding of MRC risk and endorsement documentation, A&S submissions via the IMR System, claims submissions via the ECF system as well as utilising the DXC Insurance Portal for handling queries raised on the IMR. You will review and maintain technical items on the company's in-house system and collaborate closely with internal and external clients.

What you'll need to succeed

Your previous experience working as an Insurance Technician will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have experience with global placements, full understanding of MRC risk and endorsement documentation, experience of Xchanging and understanding of Premium and Claims Bordereaux. Ideally, you will have experience processing debit notes and Closings as well as Lloyd's of London applications.
