About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Intellectual Property Solicitor to join our growing legal team. This is a unique opportunity to work across two vibrant locations—our main office in Kent and our prestigious Mayfair office in Central London.

You will play a key role in advising a diverse client base, from innovative start-ups to established international brands, on a wide range of IP matters including trademarks, copyright, patents, and design rights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice on contentious and non-contentious IP matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate IP-related agreements (e.g., licensing, assignments, NDAs)
• Manage trademark and patent portfolios, including filings and oppositions
• Represent clients in IP disputes, including litigation and alternative dispute resolution
• Conduct IP audits and due diligence for corporate transactions
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments and offices to deliver integrated legal solutions
• Stay up to date with developments in IP law and contribute to thought leadership

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 2+ years PQE in IP law
• Strong academic background and solid experience in both contentious and non-contentious IP
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision
• Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
• Willingness to travel between Kent and Mayfair offices as needed

Desirable:

• Experience in sectors such as technology, media, fashion, or life sciences
• Additional qualifications in IP (e.g., from the University of Oxford or Queen Mary University of London)
• Foreign language skills are a plus
