Rate: Up to £550-£570 per day (Umbrella)

A London local authority is seeking an experienced Public Health Finance Lead to join its finance team on an interim basis. This opportunity has arisen due to an internal team move and offers the chance to work within a collaborative and supportive finance function.

Key Responsibilities

Budget setting and annual financial planning
Budget monitoring, forecasting and variance analysis
Month-end and year-end financial processes
Business partnering with budget holders and service managers
Providing financial advice, challenge and support to stakeholders
Line management and development of a member of staffWhat We're Looking For

Strong Local Government finance experience
Previous experience supporting Public Health services
Expertise in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to build relationships with non-finance colleagues and challenge constructivelyDesirable Experience

Experience using SAP financial systemsThis role would suit an experienced local government finance professional who enjoys working closely with services, influencing decision-making, and providing high-quality financial support within a complex operational environment
