Our client is seeking an Interim Facilities Director to oversee the delivery of all facilities services across a national network of warehousing operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of Facilities Managers, manage budgets, and ensure business continuity. The successful candidate will be a creative, resourceful, and proactive professional with a strong track record in multi-site facilities management.

What you'll do:

As an Interim Facilities Director, you will play a key role in managing our client's national network of warehousing operations. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the delivery of all facilities services, developing and implementing budgets, managing supplier performance, and addressing space management issues. You will also maintain policies and procedures relevant to business continuity, monitor environmental performance, and lead a team of Facilities Managers. This role requires a high level of organisational skills, technical understanding, and the ability to adapt to change.

  • Oversee the delivery of all facilities services across a national network of warehousing operations
  • Develop and implement budgets for all main areas of facilities
  • Manage the performance of facilities suppliers and services
  • Advise on and address space management issues as they arise
  • Maintain policies, procedures and information sources relevant to maintaining business continuity
  • Monitor environmental performance and make recommendations for change where appropriate
  • Lead a team of Facilities Managers across the national operation

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Interim Facilities Director position will bring a wealth of experience in leading facilities teams for multi-site logistics operations. You will have strong interpersonal skills with a flexible and pragmatic approach, as well as a proven track record in overseeing facilities within multi-site operations. Your experience in mobilising new sites, installing set processes and procedures, along with your technical understanding of Building Management Systems will be crucial to your success in this role. Additionally, your experience in managing large projects from inception through to completion will be highly valued.

  • Proven track record of successfully overseeing facilities within a multi-site operation
  • Experience mobilising new sites and installing set processes and procedures
  • Technical understanding of Building Management Systems
