Interim Financial Controller | VC Backed SaaS Fintech Scale-Up | 6-Month Contract

Harmonic is collaborating with a fast-growing, VC-backed B2B SaaS scale-up to find an Interim Financial Controller. This 6-month contract position is based in London (Hybrid - 3 days in office and 2 remote) and offers the chance to play a key role supporting the Finance Director and CEO during a period of expansion. The role will sit Outside IR35.

The Business

Our client is a pioneering B2B SaaS business that has a strong global influence and is backed by several renowned investors. The business is very much in their 'scale-up' journey having reached profitability and with plans to continue on their growth trajectory. There is the opportunity for this contract to transfer to permanent employment.

The Role

As the Financial Controller, you will oversee and manage essential financial functions such as financial reporting, owning month-end, AP/AR, payroll as well as supporting with the audit process. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial management experience from a start-up or scale-up background.

Duties

• Producing monthly management accounts
• Managing month-end close processes and ensuring accuracy in financial statements
• Ensuring a smooth audit process and liaising closely with external parties
• Owning the Payroll process as well as AP/AR
• Assisting with financial system improvements and transformation projects
• Supporting the Finance Director with ad hoc financial queries and projects

What we need to see (essential)

• Experience in financial management, ideally within a start-up/scale-up
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

What we'd like to see (bonus)

• SaaS, Fintech, Technology or Software industry experience

Duration: 6-month contract

Location: Central London (Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office)

Day Rate: £350-425 (Outside IR35)

Start Date: ASAP
