Interim Financial Reporting Manager

I am recruiting an Interim Financial Reporting Manager for a highly successful, international market-leading organisation in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong finance professional to lead a well-established reporting function, manage a talented finance team, and work closely with senior stakeholders across both the UK business and global finance operations.

Description

The Financial Reporting Manager will:

Lead the UK financial accounting and reporting function.
Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
Oversee compliance with relevant accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal control frameworks.
Partner with senior finance leaders and operational stakeholders to provide financial insight and support strategic decision-making.
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals.
Build strong relationships with shared service and offshore finance teams to drive service excellence.
Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, controls, and reporting procedures.
Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisers, and regulatory bodies.
Lead the preparation of statutory accounts, VAT returns, tax reporting, and other regulatory submissions.
Support working capital initiatives and performance improvement projects across the finance function.

Profile

A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Experienced within a financial reporting, financial control, or technical accounting environment.
Comfortable leading and developing finance teams.
Strong in stakeholder management with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
Experienced working within complex, fast-paced or multinational businesses.
Advanced user of Excel and financial reporting systems.
SAP experience is highly desirable, with exposure to enterprise reporting tools considered beneficial.

Job Offer

An immediate start.
Initial 3 month contract.
Hybrid, flexible working with 3 days in the office.
A day rate up to £450 depending on experience
