Interim Maintenance Manager

Questech Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Interim Maintenance Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Wakefield on an initial 3-month contract.

Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Rate: £300–£450 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday – Days
Contract Length: 3 Months

The Role:

Overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and engineering operations across site.

*

Managing and supporting a team of maintenance engineers.

*

Ensuring planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules are completed effectively.

*

Managing reactive maintenance and minimising production downtime.

*

Identifying areas for continuous improvement and improving site reliability.

*

Working closely with production and senior management teams.

*

Ensuring all engineering activities comply with health and safety regulations.

*

Supporting contractors and overseeing maintenance-related projects.

The Person:

*

Previous experience as a Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager or Interim Engineering Manager.

*

Strong background within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.

*

Proven experience managing engineering teams.

*

Good understanding of both electrical and mechanical maintenance.

*

Experience with PPM systems, continuous improvement and maintenance planning.

*

Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

*

Available for an initial 3-month contract
