We are currently recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager to take responsibility for the operational delivery and performance of Hard and Soft Facilities Management services across a large, geographically dispersed PFI portfolio.
This is a senior operational role focused on service delivery, performance management, people leadership, customer relationships and continuous improvement, rather than being purely technical.
The Role
You will provide leadership and direction to operational teams, ensuring contractual obligations, SLAs, statutory requirements and customer expectations are consistently achieved.
Key responsibilities will include:

Leading the delivery of integrated Hard and Soft FM services across a portfolio of sites.

Managing and developing multidisciplinary operational teams.
*
Monitoring and improving KPIs, SLAs and service performance.
*
Managing subcontractors, suppliers and supply-chain partners.
*
Coordinating planned, reactive and lifecycle maintenance activities.
*
Ensuring effective use of CAFM systems, workflow controls and performance reporting.
*
Managing operational risks and leading service recovery where required.
*
Building strong relationships with clients, customers and key stakeholders.
*
Driving continuous improvement and embedding new processes and ways of working.
*
Supporting commercial performance through effective resource, supplier and contract management.
*
Ensuring compliance with contractual, statutory, health & safety and safeguarding requirements.
*
Supporting senior management with operational strategy and deputising where required.
About You
We are looking for an experienced FM professional with a strong background in operational management, ideally within a complex, performance-driven contract environment.
Experience managing both Hard and Soft FM services.

Strong experience working to KPIs, SLAs and contractual performance regimes.
*
Proven people management and leadership experience.
*
Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and contracts.
*
Experience using CAFM systems and performance reporting tools.
*
Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
*
Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and service performance.
*
Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving abilities.
*
A full UK driving licence.
*
The ability to obtain an enhanced DBS clearance.
Experience within PFI/PPP, education, healthcare or public-sector FM environments would be highly advantageous.
IOSH Managing Safely or an equivalent qualification would also be desirable.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced FM Operations Manager to take ownership of a significant contract, lead multidisciplinary teams and play a key role in driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement across a large portfolio.
