Job Description - Internal Account Manager

  • This role is fully on site - NO HYBRID
Job Title: Internal Account Manager
Location: Harlow on site
Salary: £35,000-£36,000 plus annual 10% bonus
Hours: 8.30-5pm
Contract Type: [Full-time / Permanent]
Reports To: Sales Manager

About the Role
We are looking for a vibrant and outgoing Internal Account Manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on building strong client relationships, has excellent communication skills, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

As an Internal Account Manager, you will be the first point of contact for our valued existing clients — maintaining relationships, resolving queries, and identifying opportunities to add value. Your role is vital in ensuring client satisfaction and supporting business growth from within.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients.
  • Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day client communication and support.
  • Identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities and promote relevant products or services.
  • Handle client queries efficiently, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Work closely with external account managers, sales, and operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Prepare quotes, process orders, and maintain accurate records using CRM systems.
  • Monitor account activity, track performance, and ensure client expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Support client retention and renewal strategies.
What We’re Looking For
  • A confident, outgoing, and people-focused personality.
  • Proven experience in an account management, sales support, or customer service role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills — able to build rapport easily.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple accounts and tasks simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working with targets and KPIs.
  • Proactive attitude with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Good IT skills, including experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
