Job Description - Internal Account Manager

Internal Account Manager | Permanent | Telford | £26,000-£28,000pa + Bonus

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy building strong client relationships?

We are currently seeking an organised, proactive, and customer-focused Internal Account Manager to join a dynamic internal sales team. In this key role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of accounts, ensuring the seamless delivery of products and services while supporting commercial growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction
  • Process and manage customer orders from entry through to delivery, maintaining accuracy and timeliness
  • Communicate proactively with customers regarding order status, shipping details, and any potential issues
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth execution of customer requirements
  • Handle customer enquiries and complaints with professionalism and a solutions-focused approach
  • Maintain internal systems and ensure up-to-date, accurate data
  • Support external account managers with onboarding new clients and preparing for account reviews
  • Participate in customer-focused projects and initiatives to enhance service and operational performance
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:45am-5:00pm (37.5 hours/week)

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in customer service, account management, or internal sales within the manufacturing industry
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to delivering a high standard of service
  • Good IT literacy, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
