Job Description - Internal Account Manager

We are working in partnership with a successful and forward-thinking organisation in the manufacturing and distribution sector to recruit an experienced Account Manager to join their Client Services and Sales team.


This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and relationship-driven individual to step into a key role that bridges client engagement and internal collaboration. You'll act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients, helping drive account growth while ensuring service excellence and high customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships

  • Serve as the lead contact for day-to-day client communication and account management

  • Negotiate pricing and close agreements to maximise revenue and profitability

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products or services in line with client expectations

  • Liaise with internal teams (sales, production, and operations) to ensure a seamless customer experience

  • Produce reports on account status when required

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand existing accounts

  • Handle escalated client issues with professionalism and care


Skills & Competencies Required:

  • Strong client relationship management skills

  • Effective project coordination and cross-functional collaboration

  • Commercial acumen and the ability to identify business growth opportunities

  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

  • Analytical mindset with reporting and data interpretation skills

  • Experience in stock management and/or logistics is a plus

  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal


Work Environment:

  • Office-based role with occasional travel for client meetings or industry events (own transport is required)
