Internal Audit Manager

Gleeson Recruitment Group are currently partnering with a well-established, UK-based organisation in their search for an experienced Internal Audit Manager to join their high-performing team, based at their Solihull offices.

This is a fantastic Internal Audit Manager opportunity for an accomplished audit professional to step into a key leadership role within a dynamic and evolving internal audit function. The position offers a highly competitive package including a base salary of up to £70,000, car allowance, discretionary bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. Hybrid working is on offer, with a balanced mix of office and home-based working.

• Lead and deliver a broad range of internal audit reviews across operational, financial, and compliance areas.

• Develop audit plans and strategies in alignment with business risks and priorities.

• Provide independent assurance to senior stakeholders and the Audit Committee.

• Manage and mentor a small team of auditors, supporting professional development and performance.

• Communicate audit findings and recommendations clearly and constructively to stakeholders at all levels.

• Monitor the implementation of agreed audit actions and report on progress.

• Support wider risk management, controls improvement and governance initiatives.

• ACA, ACCA, CIA or equivalent professional qualification.

• Proven internal audit experience, ideally within a complex, multi-site or regulated business.

• Strong understanding of risk management, internal controls, and governance frameworks.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Commercial awareness and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.

• Previous team leadership experience is desirable but not essential.

• Degree in accountancy, business or economics.
