This important role plays a crucial part in supporting students who require temporary removal from the classroom and fostering a positive learning environment for all.

  • Supervise students within the internal exclusion room, ensuring a calm and controlled environment conducive to reflection and learning.
  
  
  • Implement the school's internal exclusion procedures consistently and effectively.
  
  
  • Liaise with teachers and pastoral staff to understand the reasons for exclusion and provide appropriate support to students.
  
  
  • Work with students to complete assigned tasks or revision activities, promoting continued learning and engagement.
  
  
  • Encourage students to reflect on their behavior and develop strategies to improve for a successful return to class.
  
  
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of student behavior and interventions undertaken.
  
  
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment within the exclusion room.
