About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and patient individual to join our team as an Internal Exclusion Room Supervisor in a thriving West London secondary school. This important role plays a crucial part in supporting students who require temporary removal from mainstream classes. You will ensure a calm and focused environment, promote reflection, and support students in returning to the classroom successfully.

  Responsibilities:
  
  
  • Supervise students within the Internal Exclusion Room, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  
  
  • Implement the school's Internal Exclusion procedures consistently and fairly.
  
  
  • Liaise with teachers and pastoral staff to understand the reasons for exclusion and develop appropriate strategies for each student.
  
  
  • Support students in completing set work and assignments to ensure they stay caught up academically.
  
  
  • Facilitate reflection activities that encourage students to understand their behavior and develop positive coping mechanisms.
  
  
  • Communicate effectively with students, building rapport and fostering a sense of support.
  
  
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of incidents and student progress.
