Internal Request Coordination Assistant

Job Description - Internal Request Coordination Assistant

Internal Request Coordination Assistant

Office Administration · Internal Requests · Remote · Full-time or part-time
Hourly pay: £31.50–£34.00

Keep the small office requests moving

Many office tasks begin with a short message: a colleague needs an approved document, a team member asks for a routine update, or a request has been sent to the wrong place. The Internal Request Coordination Assistant keeps these everyday items visible and directs them to the right next step. This is remote office administration built around a shared queue of work, simple records and useful handovers. It is suitable for someone starting an administrative career who likes order and clear communication.

The job is not to decide how the business should handle unusual requests. You would use the employer’s instructions to complete the routine items within your remit, seek clarification where key details are missing and forward matters requiring approval. A short, accurate note can save a colleague from repeating a conversation, while an incorrectly marked task can leave a request stranded. That is why the role values steady attention to detail over unnecessary speed.

Requests within the usual scope. You would check the incoming queue, identify what the sender needs and find the information required to complete a permitted update. A task needs a clear description and a current status so another person can understand it. You might make a simple change using supplied instructions, ask for a missing name or date, or direct the request to a colleague who has the authority to decide it. Completion means the update, reply or handoff has actually happened, not simply that the message was read.

An example might be a request to place a current form in a team folder. You would check that it is the approved version, use the appropriate file name and tell the requester where it can be found. If two versions are circulating and you cannot identify the authorised one, you would flag the discrepancy instead of choosing on behalf of the team. A different request might involve adding a supplied detail to a shared list; again, accuracy and a visible record of the change matter more than elaborate analysis.

How the team would use your updates

Colleagues need to see whether their request is awaiting information, has been completed or needs a decision from someone else. Your notes should be brief enough to scan and specific enough to be useful. Where an item is pending, you would keep the status current rather than letting it disappear in an inbox. The exact system may vary by employer; it could be an online task board, a shared spreadsheet, a digital folder or another web-based office tool.

This role touches customer service indirectly as well as directly. An internal request may help another colleague give a customer an accurate answer, so a late or unclear handoff can affect the person at the end of the process. You will not be asked to impersonate a specialist or promise an outcome to a customer. You will learn which messages you can answer yourself and which need review.

A good starting point

No previous office administrative title is needed. Experience keeping track of group tasks, working with documents, answering messages or organising information in another job or during study could be helpful. Applicants who are new to office work are welcome, and the employer will teach its routine workflow and tools. You should already be able to write a clear short message, check a name or date against a source and follow a set of instructions without silently skipping a step.

Comfort using basic online documents and email is useful. You do not need expertise in a named software package. If a request seems ambiguous, the right response is to clarify it; if you make a routine mistake, the right response is to flag and correct it according to the team’s process. The position suits someone who can manage a modest queue independently while still asking for guidance when a decision belongs to somebody else.

Because the position is remote, a practical home office setup may support concentration and the careful handling of company information. You can discuss the team’s tools and working pattern as the application progresses. Full-time and part-time arrangements may be available.

Pay is £31.50–£34.00 per hour. The responsibilities are those of an introductory coordination role rather than a management position. Full details of hours and the team’s working arrangements can be discussed during the hiring process.

Your application

Please make it easy to find any experience with organising requests, maintaining a shared document or following up on incomplete information. That evidence may come from paid work, education or another practical setting. We are interested in whether you can make small office tasks reliable, not whether your last job had this exact title. If you’re selected for the next step, you may be asked to complete an application on the hiring company’s website. A concise, accurate CV is enough to show the relevant habits and experience you bring to the role.
