Job Description - Internal Sales Advisor

Location: Haydock
Salary: £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

We are currently seeking a proactive and customer-focused Internal Sales Executive to join our Haydock branch. Reporting directly to the Sales Office Manager, you will play a key role in driving sales growth, supporting existing customers, developing new business opportunities, and delivering outstanding service. Our client is one of the UK's leading suppliers of specialist building materials, focused on delivering construction solutions

Key Responsibilities

* Manage existing customer accounts to maximise sales and profitability.

* Identify, open, and develop new customer accounts with a focus on sustainable and profitable growth.

* Engage with customers both over the phone and face-to-face, processing orders accurately through our CRM system.

* Prepare and issue quotations while maximising opportunities for add-on and upsell sales.

* Proactively contact lapsed customers and prospective new clients to generate sales opportunities.

* Work closely with warehouse and external sales teams to ensure efficient order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.

* Support credit control activities and collaborate with other internal departments when required.

* Assist on the trade counter during busy periods or as business needs dictate.

* Promote the full range of products and services available across the group.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Previous experience in an internal sales position, ideally within the construction distribution or building materials sector.

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

* Good numeracy, IT, and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.

* A proactive, target-driven approach with a strong focus on delivering results.

* The ability to work effectively as part of a team while also managing your own workload.
