This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established engineering business as an Internal Sales Engineer. Based at their site in Hungerford, you’ll play a key role in supporting the sales process, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to operational efficiency across departments..

Internal Sales Engineer

Permanent

Hungerford

Monday – Friday

7.30am – 3.30pm / 8.30am – 4.30pm

Key roles & responsibilities as an Internal Sales Engineer:

Provide support to Area Sales Managers, agents, and customers, while liaising with the workshop on product delivery.
Process orders efficiently, prepare technical/commercial proposals, produce reliable quotations, and handle general administration work.
Progress outstanding quotations to ensure order targets and forecasting requirements are met.
Deploy a continuous improvement approach to all aspects of the role.
Liaise with other departments to improve workflow processes where possible.

Key skills/knowledge as an Internal Sales Engineer:

A technical qualification such as ONC in Mechanical Engineering or A Levels in Maths/Science.
Proven customer service skills.
Strong communication skills and IT literacy.
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks.
Initiative and self-motivation.
Willingness to learn and ability to work as part of a team.
Experience in the manufacturing or engineering industry is desirable but not essential.
