Internal Sales Executive — Vacuum Excavation Hire

Pier (UK) Ltd is one of the UK's leading vacuum excavation and equipment hire specialists, operating a nationwide fleet of vehicles from our headquarters in Newton-Le-Willows.

We're looking for an Internal Sales Executive to join our sales team. This is a desk-based role focused on winning new work, growing existing accounts and keeping our fleet busy. If you're commercially minded, comfortable on the phone and want to build a career with a business that's growing fast, we want to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

* Handling inbound enquiries and converting them into confirmed hires

* Making outbound calls to lapsed and target accounts to generate new business

* Preparing and following up quotations, and negotiating rates within agreed parameters

* Working closely with the operations and transport teams to match the right unit and operator to each job

* Keeping the CRM and sales tracker accurate and up to date

* Building long-term relationships with contractors, site managers and procurement teams

* Supporting the wider sales team to hit depot and national targets

What we're looking for

* Previous experience in internal sales, telesales or account management — plant hire, construction or industrial services is an advantage but not essential

* Confident phone manner and the resilience to pick up the phone every day

* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

* Comfortable with Microsoft Office and CRM systems

* A commercial head — you understand that margin matters as much as volume

Uncapped bonus structure

Our bonus scheme is uncapped — the more you bring in, the more you earn. There is no ceiling and no cap on what a strong performer can make.
