Job Description - International Construction - Broker Account Executive
Job Title: International Construction - Broker Account Executive Location: City of London Salary: £80,000 per annum Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2-3 days in office, remainder remote)
Responsibilities:
*Assist in the placement process, including the gathering of information and preparation of underwriting submissions *Prepare documentation for existing customers related to renewals and mid-term adjustments, in partnership with account managers *Support Brokers in negotiating with insurers to obtain terms that accurately and effectively match client requirements *Follow up on quotations and provide general support to Brokers *Ensure all customer details are recorded accurately in internal systems *Handle insurer queries regarding customer policies *Assist with customer queries on existing policies and liaise with insurers regarding potential changes or new terms *Confirm cover with relevant insurers, process policies, and follow up on outstanding documentation *Handle account queries and credit control matters, ensuring timely resolution and escalation of any concerns *Manage personal workload effectively to maintain client relationships and ensure placements are completed to deadline *Support senior team members with the RFP process
Qualifications & Experience:
*Working towards or holding a Chartered Insurance Institute qualification (Cert CII / Dip CII preferred) *Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent (desirable) *Basic knowledge of general insurance (London Market / Lloyd's and wider industry), including insurance products, services, and legal principles *Prior insurance administration experience in a commercial setting (desirable) *Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel *Strong administrative and policy processing skills, with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail *Familiarity with client and market dynamics within the insurance industry *Able to meet targets and deadlines with confidence *Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills *Self-motivated with a proactive approach to teamwork *Exceptional customer service orientation *Able to identify risks/issues and escalate appropriately *Excellent planning and analytical skills *Must be eligible to work in the UK
