The Opportunity
Key responsibilities
Assist with and lead (where applicable) international secondments and transfers and/or ad hoc mobility cases as required for international client and office to office secondments
Provide day to day mobility BAU in the form of cost projections, document drafting, and matter coding, for example. Escalating as needed for more complex matters.
Deliver and participate in secondee briefings for outbound and inbound moves.
Assist with all BAU work associated with mobility, immigration and international remote working.
Share knowledge with global stakeholders to ensure consistent application of policy.
Build relationships and credibility with key mobility-facing individuals in all offices.
Ensure the Firm is immigration compliant, liaising with the business and the firm’s immigration providers accordingly.
Understand and communicate, as directed, legislative changes that have a potential mobility impact on the Firm,
Maintain management information and reporting by monitoring dates and notifying the relevant individuals to action as needed
Support the immigration and recruitment process for mobility cases.
Provide guidance as appropriate, on all aspects of secondment policy and process.
Support consistency of secondment packages and ensure the firm’s policies and procedures are applied in a consistent manner.
Close collaboration with international mobility team members, HRBPs, Tax and GC & R including other offices where applicable.
Ad hoc project work as needed.
Qualifications, skills and experience
A minimum of 1 year IM or HR business partnering/generalist experience preferred;
Understanding of general mobility basics desirable;
Interest in international HR, immigration and mobility;
Effective communication skills (written and verbal);
Interest in process improvement and technology advantageous.
