International Tax Consultant - in house

Role overview

We’re seeking an experienced International Tax Advisor to join the firm’s Tax team, providing high-quality compliance and advisory support across a range of international tax matters. The role combines technical execution with stakeholder engagement across finance, legal and business teams.
Key responsibilities
• Lead and support corporate tax, VAT and withholding tax compliance and advisory work.

• Coordinate and prepare tax clearance applications and liaison with HMRC and overseas advisers.

• Assist with permanent establishment (PE) risk analysis and mitigation, working with cross-border teams.

• Support international tax compliance activities, ensuring timely filings and accurate returns (EMEA and APAC)

• Advise on withholding tax queries and compliance issues, escalating where appropriate.

• Contribute to VAT compliance and advisory matters and support tax audit processes.


Skills & experience
• Strong technical experience in corporate tax, VAT and withholding tax compliance and advisory.

• ACA/ACCA qualified; a tax qualification (e.g., CTA or ADIT) desirable.

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.

• Advanced Excel skills and experience handling large data sets.

• Strong communicator with the ability to explain complex tax issues simply.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively and manage key relationships across functions.
