Job Description - Inventory Controller

The Company:
We are pleased to be supporting a successful manufacturing business in the Preston area in their search for an Inventory Controller. This is a newly created position which will play a valuable role in managing inventory levels and stock accuracy across the site.

The Role:
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this is a key hire for the business following a new WMS implementation.

Key responsibilities will be:

Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels across raw materials and finished goods
Monitoring stock movements, conducting regular inventory audits, and implementing effective inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and optimize stock availability.
Work closely with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to ensure that inventory aligns with business needs, customer demands, and company objectives.

The Person:
This is a great role for someone with an interest in systems and data, who is keen to progress within a successful business

Experience working in a warehouse environment and understand how the function works
Systems Oriented, enjoys working with and analysing data
Curious nature, always looking for ways to improve
Able to effectively communicate with stakeholders
Proactive approach to problem solving
