Job Description - Inventory Controller

Barker Ross are currently recruiting for an Inventory Controller to join a busy warehouse operation based in the Coalville (LE67) area.

This is initially a 6 month placement supporting the existing Stock Team, with the potential for a long term Stock Controller opportunity for the right candidate who demonstrates the required skills and performance.

The working hours for the Inventory Controller position are Monday to Friday, 06:00 till 14:00.

Some flexibility around working days may be considered for the right candidate.

The pay rate for this role is £13.70 per hour.

Job Duties:

· Carrying out regular inventory and stock checks within a busy warehouse environment
· Ensuring all pallets received onto site are correctly receipted within the system
· Checking that pallets are scanned accurately into the correct racking locations
· Searching for and identifying pallets that have been incorrectly scanned or located
· Investigating stock discrepancies and inventory issues
· Resolving stock location and system discrepancies
· Maintaining accurate stock records across the warehouse
· Working closely with the Stock Team and warehouse operation to resolve inventory issues
· Using warehouse systems to track, locate and verify stock
· Supporting periodic stock counts and inventory checks
· Ensuring a high level of accuracy across all stock movements
· Other stock and inventory duties as reasonably required

The ideal candidate will have:

· Previous experience carrying out stock counts or periodic inventory checks within a busy warehouse
· Previous experience within a Stock Controller, Inventory Controller or similar warehouse stock role
· Good warehouse systems knowledge and confidence working with WMS systems
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
· Strong problem solving skills with the ability to investigate stock discrepancies
· Good computer and systems skills
· Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
· Experience working within a fast paced warehouse environment
· Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with warehouse and stock teams
· MHE experience would be beneficial but is not essential
