3-month ongoing contract
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
3 days per week in the office

We are recruiting an Investigation & Information Assistant to join the Complaints and Resolution team. This is a key role supporting elected Members and residents by ensuring enquiries and complaints are handled accurately, professionally and on time.

The Role As an Investigation & Information Assistant, you will:

Provide accurate, timely and high-quality responses to Members’ enquiries, supporting elected councillors in their work with residents
Investigate and coordinate responses to resident complaints, particularly relating to housing and ongoing repairs
Liaise with internal departments and external partners to gather information and resolve issues
Support the wider Complaints and Resolution team to ensure cases are progressed efficiently
Maintain clear, accurate records and ensure responses meet agreed standards and deadlinesAbout You You will be:

Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Confident communicating clearly in writing and verbally
Comfortable working under pressure in a busy environment
Experienced in handling enquiries, complaints or investigations (local authority or housing experience desirable)
Proactive, customer-focused and committed to delivering high standards of service
Must have experience working for a council or housing association
