Investment Accountant

Meraki Talent are delighted to be working with a leading Financial Services firm who are investing in the local Glasgow market within an exciting new proposition.

This is an exciting time to join a new function, based in Glasgow to service new and existing pension clients within a Fund Accounting capacity.

Duties will involve;

• Providing fund valuation and accountancy duties to pension funds
• Ensuring the regulatory and legal aspects are compliant
• Building lasting relationships with clients and meeting set SLAs
• Preparing and analysing financial statements
• Preparing monthly reconciliations, and assist with cash reconciliations and fund management.
• Preparing for and attending client audit meetings
• Develop relationships with auditors for discussions on year end processes

Applicants should have come from a Fund or Investment Accounting background with a working knowledge of pension funds, oversight of financial statements or Fund/Pension Audit. Additionally, applicants must have an understanding of IFRS. This is an exciting time to join an expanding function; with the complexity of clients changing, it is imperative applicants can multitask and prioritise a demanding client need.
