Investment Associate - Global Private Equity Firm

A prestigious global private equity firm is seeking a high-calibre Investment Associate to join its London office. With a proven track record of executing transformational investments across multiple sectors and geographies, the firm specialised in majority stake mid-market investments.

The Role:

As an Investment Associate, you will be an integral part of a high-performing team, actively involved across the full investment lifecycle—from origination to execution and post-deal value creation. Responsibilities will include:

• Deal Sourcing & Evaluation: Assisting in the identification and initial screening of new investment opportunities, building investment theses, and conducting market and competitor analysis.
• Financial Modelling & Valuation: Building and maintaining detailed financial models, performing valuation analyses (DCF, LBO, comparables), and stress-testing scenarios.
• Due Diligence & Deal Execution: Leading workstreams within due diligence processes, coordinating third-party advisors, preparing investment committee materials, and supporting negotiations and execution.
• Portfolio Company Support: Working closely with management teams to monitor performance, implement strategic initiatives, and support value creation across the portfolio.
• Stakeholder & Internal Communications: Preparing internal reports and updates for senior stakeholders, board materials, and liaising with advisors, consultants, and co-investors.

The client is looking for a driven and commercially minded individual with strong analytical rigour and a passion for private equity investing. The successful candidate will have:

• Experience at a lower-mid market private equity fund, with a demonstrable track record of involvement in successful transactions.
• Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end deal process and portfolio management principles.
