Investment Managers Assistant

In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional administrative and client support, ensuring the smooth running of branch operations, and acting as a key link between clients, Investment Managers, and operational teams. You'll also play an important part in mentoring colleagues, driving process improvements, and maintaining high service standards across the team.

What you'll be doing:

• Providing comprehensive administrative support to Investment Managers and the Branch Manager/Team Head.


• Managing client queries and supporting client onboarding processes.


• Preparing documentation for client meetings, reviews, and account administration.


• Liaising with internal teams, solicitors, accountants, and other professional contacts.


• Monitoring key operational processes and ensuring regulatory deadlines are met.


• Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of Investment Manager's Assistants.


• Supporting local projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in an Investment Manager's Assistant, Wealth Management, Investment Operations, or similar environment.


• A good understanding of investment processes and financial markets.


• CISI Level 3 Introduction to Securities & Investments (or willingness to complete if applicable).


• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.


• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.


• A positive, collaborative approach with the ability to lead and support others.

Information Provider:

This role is classified as an Information Provider under MiFID II Regulations, i.e. a person who provides information on behalf of Charles Stanley, about financial instruments, investment services and/or ancillary services to clients.

As an Information Provider you must be able to demonstrate the appropriate knowledge and competence to carry out this activity, including six months’ experience in the role. Once assessed as competent, Information Providers should have an annual re-assessment of competence. 

Information Providers must also maintain their competence by undertaking Continuing Professional Development (CPD) on an annual basis.
