Job DescriptionAbout the jobWhat You'll DoPrincipal Asset Management is seeking an Investment Operations Associate to join their London office on a permanent basis. This role offers an opportunity to support the lifecycle of investments in a global infrastructure.

Here are a few examples of the kinds of things you’ll do:Daily reconciliation of custody holdings and cash across multiple fundsInvestigate and resolve daily collateral disputesSupporting Finisterre Capital’s growing emerging market portfolio as well as the wider PGIE tradingEnsure collateral margin calls/returns are exchanged within the contractual timeframeMake sure the delivery and receipt of collateral transactions are actioned and settled on timeInvestigate and resolve daily collateral disputesSupport global investment initiatives through active participation in projects, development and implementation of new initiatives, process reviews and/or system enhancementsWho You AreUndergraduate degree or equivalent work experiencePreferably 5-7 years’ experience working in investment / mutual fund operationsStrong product knowledge on TRS, IRS & XCCY IRS, Credit, Cash, FX (Options, Forwards and NDFs), FuturesStrong background in Collateral Operations - especially for OTC, ETD, Central clearing, UMR & Non-UMR and Bilateral MarginingStrong understanding is required in reconciling multiple Custody accounts - Positions and Cash holdingsDetailed oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skillsExperience in using Charles River APEX and Arcadia is desirableExperience in the sell-side is advantageousSQL, Python, VBA desirableThis is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious individual who is looking to gain exposure to a global business and is seeking to propel their career in a fast-growing and highly regarded asset management business.Your Experience with usAt Principal, we value connecting on both a personal and professional level.
