What You'll Do

Principal Asset Management is seeking an

Investment Operations Associate

to join their London office on a permanent basis. This role offers an opportunity to support the lifecycle of investments in a global infrastructure.

Here are a few examples of the kinds of things you’ll do:
Daily reconciliation of custody holdings and cash across multiple funds
Investigate and resolve daily collateral disputes
Supporting Finisterre Capital’s growing emerging market portfolio as well as the wider PGIE trading
Ensure collateral margin calls/returns are exchanged within the contractual timeframe
Make sure the delivery and receipt of collateral transactions are actioned and settled on time
Investigate and resolve daily collateral disputes
Support global investment initiatives through active participation in projects, development and implementation of new initiatives, process reviews and/or system enhancements

Who You Are
Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
Preferably 5-7 years’ experience working in investment / mutual fund operations
Strong product knowledge on TRS, IRS & XCCY IRS, Credit, Cash, FX (Options, Forwards and NDFs), Futures
Strong background in Collateral Operations - especially for OTC, ETD, Central clearing, UMR & Non-UMR and Bilateral Margining
Strong understanding is required in reconciling multiple Custody accounts - Positions and Cash holdings
Detailed oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
Experience in using Charles River APEX and Arcadia is desirable
Experience in the sell-side is advantageous
SQL, Python, VBA desirable

Location
Based in our London office. This role offers hybrid working, with three days a week in the office.
