Investor Relations / Business Development Associate - Private Equity

Job DescriptionTHE SEARCH:Altus Partners is exclusively collaborating with a private asset manager that oversees approximately $5 billion across private equity and private credit strategies, primarily investing in the financial services, financial technology, and business services sectors. Experiencing a period of robust growth, the firm is seeking to fill a newly created role for a business-development-focused Investor Relations Associate to work directly with and support a Partner with his client and fundraising responsibilities across Europe and Asia. This role offers a clear path to a direct fundraising role within a leading private equity firm.THE ROLE:Attend introductory pitches-Take notes & circulate to partners-Ensure follow up is complete-Update CRM & LP pipelineManage relationships with third party agents-Attend weekly or bi-monthly calls, take notes, maintain their LP pipelines & integrate into CRM-Help broader team maximise impact with them-Research LPs using databases, including Preqin, and reach out to potentially interested LPs, set up intro calls / meeting, follow up and lead interactionsDevelop and maintain relationships with relevant LPs and prospects alongside investment partners and other members of IR teamAssist in implementing various initiatives, such as networking, DEI, ESG etc. both internally and externallyPrepare bespoke presentation materialsWork on LP due diligence requests to drive LP through the process to investmentTHE REQUIREMENTS:Experience in private equity, investment banking, asset management, and/or investor relations.To have a client-first attitude and an entrepreneurial mindsetSuperior desktop publishing skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
